Skydiving as Therapy

Skydiving isn't just an amazing experience. It can change your life and give you a new perspective on things.

If you're thinking about making a skydive yourself, you're probably in one of two categories. Either, it's something you've always wanted to do, a bucket list item. Or, something's happened in your life and you're looking for a new challenge and to overcome a fear.

Whatever your reasons, skydiving is a great form of therapy. Here's why:

Empowerment through skydiving

One of the best things about skydiving is that it's very empowering.

Think back to the last time you did something you weren't sure about. Perhaps it was something you did at work, that you hadn't done before. Or something bigger - perhaps you did something like make a speech in front of your peers.

When you do something new or out of your comfort zone, it's a challenge. But then you set your mind to it and you tackle that challenge, head on. The feeling of achievement you get is awesome!

Skydiving isn't a 'normal' thing to do. It can be scary. You might feel nervous. But then you set your mind to it, tackle it head on and the result is an immense feeling of achievement, that makes you feel you could do anything!

A sense of perspective

There's a saying that 'only skydivers know why birds sing' - and it's true! Only skydivers get the view of the world that we do. There's really nothing like it.

Over the years, we've been told by so many of our customers that skydiving has given them a new perspective on life. Once you've jumped from an airplane, the way you think about other things in life changes. You know you've done something incredible and that you've overcome your fears, and that helps you to think more clearly about other things in life that might have felt unobtainable before.

Skydiving can give you that clarity to think about things in a new way. It gives you a new perspective on the small things in life, making them seem insignificant. You can achieve anything you want because you've achieved this!

Therapy through community

One of the best things about skydiving is the community. You'll meet people from all walks of life and all different backgrounds. People who've been through tough times. People who have achieved lots before. People who are ready to start a new chapter in their lives.

The very nature of our sport is that we're able to depend on each other and we have high levels of trust.
