Re: Line Twists
Many of you may have seen the footage of my canopy spinning up on a jump in Fort Dodge over the Labor day weekend. I first tried to squeeze the risers together like in the video, but it did nothing. The old tried and true spread the risers and kick was the only thing that kept me from having to chop that canopy. It may be that the squeeze technique only works for more high performance canopies, I don't know. I can only say that it didn't work for me on this particular jump, if altitude allows please try it and let us know how it works for you.

Re: Line Twists
If you are a “Licensed Skydiver” you have earned the right to make your own mistakes, if not I would highly advise you to use the advice your instructors gave you! The techniques and skills you were taught have been proven over and over through the years. Boys and girls we didn’t just make this stuff up to see if it worked, we teach it because it does work and others have already made the mistakes of trying silly shit that didn’t! Listen to your Instructors, not the internet where everyone thinks they know it all.
